About Me

1925                     1947                    2013

I was born in 1923 at the end of Warren Harding’s administration so have been a witness to many Presidents, wars, politicians and economic crises. I was an  educator who spent most of my career in administration. I’m retired and live outside Nevada City, Ca. an old mining town. I’m originally from Wisconsin and lived in a factory town on the factory workers side of town. My work has been with the lower economic neighborhoods including 10 years in the Projects. These are the people I am most comfortable working for.

My father was a Union organizer during the 20s and 30s, probably the reason for my iconoclastic views.

I have four grown children and nine grandchildren. I’ve been happily married to the same woman for 63 years and believe the marriage will last.

  3. Seems difficult to be right so much, especially when it sounds so negative.
I agree that we need to flush things out and disagree so we will think rather
then allow others to think for us.

Hi, Uncle Don – as always, your amazing words “speak to my condition!” I love that you take on “sensitive” issues with your own unique brand of candor, humor and common sense!

    You’re the best! Love, Sali

I love the update! You have ALWAYS been handsome…aside from those scrawny, skinny legs…..I appreciate your additions as it helps one understand your perspective. I love you, and have been and always will be proud of you.
